from my admittedly paranoid viewpoint, and since you asked for advice-

-prepare to be sued in small claims court. apparently $6000 limit in your jurisdiction; the extra $1k may not dissuade him.

- do this by preparing your story's talking points (ignorance of any problem the most important) in advance by writing them down. make the story plausible and learn it perfectly.

- see if the mods will delete this whole thread. i assume he saw a BMW in your driveway; i would learn everything i could about the defendant if were in his shoes. your user id here seems like a giveaway, maybe you should change it.

I told him before. Figured that was enough. I specifically said above 1300 you will melt shit, above 35psi you will lift the head/blow shit. That head and gasket is a year old I told him over 35 psi you need to stud it at least. Of course he acts like he knew that already but I digress.

If I would have damaged it myself I would have told him and gave the deposit back and took a loss, but like I said I cant afford to be out 7k for the truck cause of one persons ignorance.

You should of at least told him that when he ran the truck at WOT after you told him not to that it may have caused damage.

I dont feel bad at all. I didnt blow it I baby that truck it wasnt driven after he tested it. He lives over and hour away so if he wants to come pick a fight cause he cant listen to simple instructions then so be it i have his address too.

Well he bought it today. Pulled out revving it and reaming on it. Called me an hour later and said he refueled it and got a water in fuel light on, he swears he put diesel in it. So I tried helping him and I guess he cranked it till he killed the starter or battery but now he said it wont crank at all and nothing works. I told him hes gonna need to drain the tank so he just said ok and left it at the gas station lol


Keep in mind ive never had a water in fuel problem. Idk what he did but I dont care anymore.


Oh and he also said he cant hear the fuel pump running......... its a mechanical pump lulz

You do realize hes going to call you every day about this truck right? He will also probably take it to a shop where they will find out the HG is shot.

All I can say is, I'm glad that I'm not you right now


Btw, If someone sold me a vehicle knowing that the HG was bad and didn't disclose it I would probably be angry. Really angry. I suggest packing up all your shit and move somewhere else

I would work out some deal with him ... I couldnt sell it to him in that condition even though he didnt listen. It would eat at me. Between the 2 of you ..You can fix the head gasket for a few hundred and everyone wins and you can look at yourself in the mirror and feel good

I explained everything to him. I told him what will happen I explained it as if he were 3 years old. He told me he was a diesel mechanic before, yet he didnt even know a cummins was in a dodge or that it was a 6 cylinder. Lol

He was a mechanic and he didn't understand your explicit instructions not to go over 35psi because the wastegate wasn't hooked up? I feel like that's part of why he was a mechanic.
