Or did you just say, don't take it over 35psi because the WG isn't hooked up and expect him to know?

If not and he comes back to you, EDUCATE his dumb ass and tell him the consequences of what happens in this situation. Make HIM feel like he fucked himself. He pegged it 20psi OVER for 10 seconds for crying out loud. Like others have said, if he had no respect for your instructions while YOU IN THE CAR, who knows how he treated it with his wife passenger or when he takes it home.

Good that you did/are doing the as-is bill of sale.
I don't know if that HG sealer leaves residue somehow or evidence, but I wouldn't do it. It kind of makes it look like you were aware of the problem before he blew it up from his ignorant perspective.

I explained everything to him. I told him what will happen I explained it as if he were 3 years old. He told me he was a diesel mechanic before, yet he didnt even know a cummins was in a dodge or that it was a 6 cylinder. Lol

Anyway he told me he is coming tomorrow with the cash. I flushed it and refilled it and let it idle and coolant is still fine. Idk how long it will be clean though probably till he reams on it again.

Yeah, but your name is still on the title.

I guess i'm just cynical in my old age, haha.

might want to check out your state laws regarding Warrant of Merchantability and/or Fitness of Purpose. You could sell it with a band aid and get away with it or get sued...

We should take bets on how soon it takes the guy to come back bitching at OP.

I say 48 hours. He'll hot rod it around town trying to impress all the townies and blow that sucker up.

its always best to assume that the buyer doesnt know whats going on and to play it safe. I know we all like to give people the benefit of the doubt thinking that they know how to honor your request but they can always choose not to if they are just blatant assholes. Usually you can tell that within the first 2 minutes of talking to them if they are stand up or not. Your in a tough position man.

Level with him and expect him to be a man and honor his actions. See where it goes from there. Stay strong and stand your ground. He is definitely in the wrong theoretically but its hard to enforce that in this situation. You were already too nice to him and let him know that...Keep us updated

I wouldn't know it 'cause the seller would have put that Napa shit it in and said nothing and packed up and moved across the state.

I'm usually pretty honest, but fuck this prick. Why should you take a huge hit when he deliberately fucked you? Seal it, sell it, deny any knowledge.

Tell him what happened. Tell him why it happened. Tell him what needs to be fixed.

If he backs out or wants to pay less for the truck, take it into small claims court if the deal is that important to you.
