We CAN get by with not swearing and and being good little boys and girls. We also CAN be forced to become like Bimmerforums...

I find this similar to speed cameras. Just don't speed and you will be fine they say.

It's the principal of the matter. No harm on James or the Mods, and Google has the right to decide who they want to advertise. But I always took solace in R3V being a place I didn't have to worry about rules and regs.

Sadly rules and regs somewhat keep sanity around here. We have had to make some changes to keep this place going. Google has re-enabled our adsense for now, not sure if they will keep it going.

I will be tweaking the swear filter, and removing some of the points, however PLEASE be civil, not bimmerfest / e30tech civil, but somewhat civil.

I'm sure it offends more than nonmembers. Had a random woman at a fuel station walk over and lecture me about the tastelessness of it while I was pumping gas. I asked her if she wanted to learn to gobble. She wasn't interested. :(

It's fine with me, we're all adults, and hopefully know how to use words to describe emotions without swearing. Also, if google is helping pay the bills, then its up to google to make the decision. We've got no room to complain unless we're paying James what google pays him for the advertising space, it's not our decision.

I will say I was a bit disappointed to see the censorship show up in a PM string I have going with Luke. It just doesn't read the same without his interspersed expletives, knowing that's how he normally types and talks.

That said, is it possible to remove the filter from PMs?
