I don't usually use profanity in my postings but it saddens me that most words are no longer an option.

It does however make me happy that I can still call someone a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffle without being censored.

I'm tired of censorship in general. James has posted that he doesn't care, and I believe this to be the stance of 95% of sane adults. It's other 5% of people who cry that are ruining the world. I'm exhausted with this ongoing PC trend.

Maybe r3v could have a swear jar where you pay like a dollar for every word you use. LOL.

They replaced the f-word with "Frack" on Battlestar Galactica, and I'm pretty sure everyone still knew what was being inferred.

Could the site run with it's own rules for a small fee from it's members?

My small site was making 100 bucks a month from G-ADS with probably 1/100 of the traffic that r3v has.

My guess is lots of traffic from Jalopnik looked around on R3V. Those people had no idea such internet tom-foolery existed, I suspect. I can imagine complaints, to google, from many demographic groups. That brings on the heat. Complaints=reaction.

I wonder if a petition will help. lol

Also, maybe the under-age drinking thread and weed chatter. Maybe the religious threads...maybe, maybe, maybe, etc.

Fer serious WTF is happening to the world.....

Google got pissed about some cuss words that were typed out on this lowly little site, yet you can use their features to find all the **** movies on the interwebs neatly organized by category, performer, host site, acts performed and any other way you wish. Or their youtube service to find all kinds of videos that contain every cuss word in the book, and when counted up would be about 50% vocabulary used in said video...................... Now all then sudden they dont like curse words....... Seriously W.T.F.

I'm torn. Like most other folks around here I genuinely appreciate the effort that James and the crew do to facilitate this forum and also make it a point to patronize forum sponsors whenever I can. That being said, revising r3v's language policies for the purposes of appeasing power hungry, bossy douchebags really rubs me the wrong way.

Studies show people who cuss are more honest than those who don't.

I don't like it cause it slows my reading down. I have to read over the sentence inserting words until it makes sense.

Now, setting up an autocorrect that substitutes curse words for funny phrases/substitute word would be swell.

On anther note, I really feel bad about the rearward slip with this site.
Sucks cause it was my favorite site, but I have found myself trolling other forms more due to the "PC" direction the site is going. I personally don't live to "PC" standards and do want to do it while relaxing on line during my own personal time..

I've noticed that r3v was my favorite but I have been slowly migrating to other forums. R3V had this kick ass swag to it but it's faded away.
Don't get me wrong. I will always love r3v and hate most of you at the same time. Thanks to everyone that keeps this bad boy alive!

Can't you ask Google what part of the contract we violated. I would think it would be something else then curse words. I would lean more to a racist/politically incorrect something.

Can I ask how much it costs to run this site? And from now on I am no longer using Google they can go eat a big fat dick. Back to ask jeevs it is for me.
