When someone is using their vehicle as a deadly weapon then they get out of it and run at me I would have either ran him over or stayed in my car as I pulled out my weapon.

What can/should you do in a situation like that?

Seems like the driver did the right thing, stayed in his car and did not escalate the situation by getting out and called the cops.

I have been put in a similar situation but I had my 8 month old daughter with me in the car. A gentleman in a panel work van didn't like that I honked (two short beeps) my horn at him after the light turned green and he sat there talking to people on the sidewalk. After we got moving I moved over a lane and passed him but got caught at the light and is when the problem started. He stoked next to me, got out of his van with a baseball bat and before he could close his door I had my Springfield locked at his head. He promptly apologized and got back in his van. I called the cops, gave them my information and followed the gentleman at a safe distance until cops pulled him over.

People always claim that if they ever point their gun at someone they are going to shoot them and until you are put in the situation I was you can't say that. I used my to diffuse the situation but I WAS prepared to use deadly force to protect my daughter who was in the back seat. I was in no way going to get in a pissing match with this guy and he was never going to get to my drivers door to swing that bat. I already knew his intention when he got out of his van with the bat in his hand telling me what he was going to do to me.

I think the driver in the video did the right thing.

so nice driving my beater e30 with diving boards, would have been temped to just smash into his car door when he cuts like that. Cars already been in multiple accidents so it wouldn't matter.
