Off topic - but those plaid seats are sexy.

You can get a nice used tool box for $2500. Just keep checking Craigslist, they're on there all the time.

FYI: Waterloo made my Craftsman toolbox. I know this because the wait was so damn long that Sears was going to cancel my order. Calling the factory was no big deal, I do do that sort of stuff for work. Brands don't matter, how it's built does.

I've got a Waterloo bottom box and like it. Well made, better quality than Craftsman, but not quite as nice as Kennedy or other nicer brands.

Why do you say avoid them?

Anyone with experience with the big boxes that homedepot.com sells? They have some huge boxes at reasonable prices. They are prob junk though.

I have a basic craftsman roll cab. It definitely gets the job done but I would love a SO box!

I have the 5 drawer they sell and I'm overflowing now so I need to add some sort of top box as I have all my overflow stuffed into portable boxes

Nice cabinets but really depends on your region, those are significantly higher in my area or would be available at an office supply wholesaler used.

Shop Costco.com for electronics, computers, furniture, outdoor living, appliances, jewelry and more. Enjoy low warehouse prices on name-brands products delivered to your door.

That Costco box looks ok but I really am leaning towards Vidmar. Maybe two short ones side by side. Build a steel base and put some heavy casters on it so its moveable

I've got a plan to keep everything organized.

I ordered some stuff today and will order some more next month. It may not end up being the Holy Grail of tools like some home mechanics want, but it will be easily transportable, self contained and organized, and enough to do everything from brakes to an engine swap on the track rat.
