That's incorrect. Here is a Vidmar I rebuilt. In the first pic I have just the three deep drawers in the middle for the test fit, in the second they are at the bottom.
The 28" depth on many of these boxes is awesome, and they're built like brick shithouses. I'm not sure if you can rearrange the drawers--like to put a 4" on top. That'd be pretty cool if you could.
You can place the drawers at any elevation you want, just a few small clips to move the slide rails.;)
Craftsman stuff is about equal quality to Harbor Freight anymore sadly. Thin metal and shit ball bearing slides. Their "Professional" series is a bit better, but not worth the money even slightly.
If this is just for at home tools, I'd go Harbor Freight or snag something decent used.
If this is a box you work out of, spring for something nicer, even if you have to buy used. It will pay for itself in time.
Don't waste your time or money, buy a used Lista or Vidmar cabinet. 400+ lbs per drawer rating. They can be had on Craigslist for sub $50/drawer prices.

How about a basic red Sears? My top drawer is deep, that's where all the deep socket sets go and the first thing you reach for. Next drawer down is a skinny screwdriver drawer.
Pix?
Brianpgriset. Do you know if Vidmar drawers can be rearranged within the box itself. I had a Vidmar before and they are beastly as far as weight capacity. I sold it when I moved cause I had no room for it. Dumb decision
...I want something with a deep top drawer on the lower cabinet for sockets...

I have the Harbor freight ones as well. Not just the 56 top and bottom but i have the 42 bottom stuffed full of diag tools and the matching 5 dravew cart and I've never had a problem with it.
However at home I have a Kobalt. You know the one with the "cool" radio and fridge in it... Its got three drawers that barely open because of bowed bottoms and on one of the drawers that has some air tools in it the rails are broke and i can only open it halfway.
I have one of the 56" harbor freight boxes, top and bottom. It's nice holds plenty an can be had for about 600 total. Buy three for the price of a cheap krl snappy.
KRL are not cheap, KRA yes but not KRL's. Or Strictly Tools
