That's incorrect. Here is a Vidmar I rebuilt. In the first pic I have just the three deep drawers in the middle for the test fit, in the second they are at the bottom.

Here it is all prettied up

You can place the drawers at any elevation you want, just a few small clips to move the slide rails.;)

Craftsman stuff is about equal quality to Harbor Freight anymore sadly. Thin metal and shit ball bearing slides. Their "Professional" series is a bit better, but not worth the money even slightly.

If this is just for at home tools, I'd go Harbor Freight or snag something decent used.

If this is a box you work out of, spring for something nicer, even if you have to buy used. It will pay for itself in time.

a big snap on box would be far more then $2500... but well worth it imo.

I picked up a 13 draw craftsman box for about 700 a few years ago, loaded to the hills

    Pix?

Brianpgriset. Do you know if Vidmar drawers can be rearranged within the box itself. I had a Vidmar before and they are beastly as far as weight capacity. I sold it when I moved cause I had no room for it. Dumb decision

I have the Harbor freight ones as well. Not just the 56 top and bottom but i have the 42 bottom stuffed full of diag tools and the matching 5 dravew cart and I've never had a problem with it.

However at home I have a Kobalt. You know the one with the "cool" radio and fridge in it... Its got three drawers that barely open because of bowed bottoms and on one of the drawers that has some air tools in it the rails are broke and i can only open it halfway.

For the money, def harbor freight
