whats the deal with this history? lemon? just a tough car to sell? thoughts?

2008 the car was leased new
2010 it was returned to the dealer with 14,xxx mi and rec'd CPO status till 5/2014
2011 it was auctioned off to in-state dealer
2012 it was sold off to texas dealer with 15,xxx
2013 it was sold off to kansas dealer 15,5xx
2014 it was sold off to a north east dealer with 16,xxx.

I believe dealers are only allowed to have their cars for certain amounts of time or they get charged some sort of tax or fee, so from what ive heard they have dealer auctions where they sell vehicles that have been sitting too long.

But I would assume it is some sort of lemon if dealer after dealer cant turn it over and sell it.

Also, I dont think they have to list if the car has any such problems at these auctions, so maybe a different dealer bought it then realized it had problems, then sold it and the same thing happened over and over.
