My friend/acquaintance is one of the founders.

Kind of hard to get excited about it. New 'social networks' come and go.

Seems fb/tumblr/twitter hybrid. I like the idea behind it, but we'll see.

after the huge excitement that google had promised fizzled, lets see if this one is better, and how long they keep the altruistic thing going.

It's VC backed, so that's gone.

Also, it's an absolutely shit design that is almost unusable, combined with a site that is painfully slow. I've hedged by name camping, but beyond that, I expect them to crater.
