^All of iRacing's tracks are laser scanned.

GSC has DRM cars now? Why have I never seen this.... Ah, looks like it's the DRM mod from rFactor ported into GSC.

On the topic of which Sim is what I've got a differed opinion. For multiplayer racing iRacing is hands down the best; there's nothing else like it. My second go-to is usually Assetto Corsa just because out of everything I've played so far, AC just feels the most immersive and has a more diverse car list than iRacing (dat DTM). I get a lot more enjoyment driving AC's GT3 cars over iRacing's too. I'm especially a sucker for laser-scanned tracks just because anything else doesn't feel quite right to me.

That's where rFactor and GSC fall short for me. I've yet to try GSC, but I only find myself playing rFactor for some of the car diversity, especially the vintage stuff. Even then I limit myself track-wise just because there aren't many tracks that can get anywhere near what AC and iRacing offer. The engines are simply dated at this point.

They made a lot of changes to the game after the 1.0 update.
About 10 days ago? I just downloaded it a few weeks ago.

I don't feel like the physics are anywhere near as good as iRacing. It is a better looking game but even with 3.3ghz AMD quad core (old Phantom Black) , 8gb RAM, and a Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4gb it won't play the game maxed out on 3 screens (5760x1080).

I know a lot of people complain about the pricing structure of iRacing, but spending a few hundred on content after you buy it isn't really that big a deal when you consider the rest of the investment.

I dropped about $1800 on the monitors/video card/RAM/power supply and the wheel/pedal/seat setup.

I just can't find the love for AC. I tried it two nights ago, confirmed I don't like it still. Reiza studios makes Game Stock Car Extreme, and about the weirdest sim ever, Formula Truck series from Brazil.

I'm not a fan of Assetto Corsa compared to iRacing. I downloaded it, played it for a few days and haven't touched it again.

Come on over! That’s what I built if for. I’m very happy with the setup. Its something I have been wanting to do since I started sim racing with Race 07 and multiplayer racing. I had a homemade setup in my office, but we had a new space, so I claimed this room to be the Holodeck.

The cockpits are the GTA driving simulators from gtrsimulator.com (without their monitor stand), Fanatec wheels & Fanatec Elite pedals, 3 22” gaming monitors (my rig has 3- 24” 144 Hz ones), triple monitor stands are bolted to the steel cockpit frame. Excluding the PC’s, around $1,000 per cockpit.

I use Game Stock Car Extreme almost exclusively. Physics are the best there is right now, and the modding community has imported almost every major track in the world and some great cars. The 80’s DRM BMW’s are hard to stop playing with.

Depends on the actual hardware, though for something better than the plastic wheel and pedal set you can get at Best Buy, high end PC/peripherals and the actual rig itself, plan on spending at least $3k.
