I drove to Phoenix a couple summers ago and got the same.
Hands down my e39 is my favorite BMW!!

Bought a 2011 328 xdrive for my wife.
She got tired of driving a Honda Odyssey everyday and occasionally driving the BMWs we did have!!
She likes it. I think our E39 is quieter inside and better on the highway......happy wife happy life!

Definitely, I will try to keep things updated. a diesel model is definitely going to be different. I was originally looking into one but the cost of them is higher than I anticipated, so I went with a NA 3.0.

I do, it's a 2002, so it's far from newer. lol That E46 has been a great car to me, so that one stays as the daily driver while the wife uses the X5 85% of the time (kiddie/grocery hauler).

lol I'm in the same boat as you. I have all older ones (E30, E46, now the E70). I'm not rich by any means.

    And it is a 2009.

I checked out an E70 X5 last Sunday and decided to go for it. I had an E53 before and I foolishly got rid of it for a Jetta TDI back in 2013. Well, the time has to come to get rid of that overhyped piece of shit (thanks to the diesel emissions scandal, I am able to walk away from the car) and go back to another BMW. The wife and I had regret it not too long after we got the Jetta, but the papers were signed and we had no recourse. Fast forward to today and I went and picked it up from a private owner.

    Obligatory picture:

74k miles, all service records from the dealer, 1 owner from a pretty wealthy community so it was well taken care of. It's loaded for a 6-cylinder and I feel I made a solid choice. Now all that is needed is a hitch so I can tow the E30 to the track.

Anyone on here own one of these?
