Hah, I always say that to myself when I see that commercial.
I'm hoping blu-ray becomes the standard since I plan on buying a ps3 soon.

Well Blockbuster and Sony signed a contract ($800 mill?) to use Blu-Ray exclusivly.
HD-DVD needs to step up its advertising. Like anyone gives a shit about what Michael Imperioli uses.Leave a comment:

And the PS2... greatest game console ever.
Ive seen blue rays, and IVe seen HD DVD, and though theyre comparable, the blue rays seem cleaner. They dont seem to have the ocassional glitch that the hd dvd have.
I dont know, and honestly dont care too much. I bought the PS3 for madden, plain and simple. I just use it for the blue ray capabilities as a bonus.Leave a comment:

I disagree. Blu-ray is another proprietary media format from Sony, much like Betamax, DAT, MiniDisc, and MemoryStick. Sony tries to force everyone to pay them out the ass to use their technologies and it always ends up biting them in the ass.
There were only two great introductions from Sony: Walkman and the CD. And the CD was primarily Philips' idea, but was funded by Sony.Leave a comment:

it's a little early to say, the porn industry hasn't made the switch yet, and it doesn't look like they will for a while.Leave a comment:

PS3... Madden 08 in 13 days, and blu ray. You cant go wrong with both, IMO. From what I hear, HD DVD is gonna be the Beta of the two.Leave a comment:

If I'm actually going to start buying HD movies, what format is looking like the way things are going to go?
I'd like a HD copy of '300', but not at the expense of picking the wrong format. It's like all the people that bought Beta, but VHS won despite being lesser quality as a source material, or so I was told.
Which way are all you HD guys swinging?Tags: None
