That I can agree with, I will admit to being a bit extreme on saying he should rot in prison forever.

But to try and tell me that he's done his time and he's paid/paying for it, that's just plain ridiculous.

actually thats FL law. My friend that I am talking about killed his best friend in a drag racing accident in Orlando. Sam was also injured but only did house arrest and community service. And had to also pay restitution to the family. Thats it! I see Sam on occation and it still eats at him. Badly. Thats all!

Again I dont care for Nick personally. I dont know the kid other than the 2 hours he spent at the local car show.

Question: how many here have been in a 1000 hp car? I had a 600hp car and it was all or nothing. not really anything that should have been on the street. Much less a young kid driving behind a 1000hp car. Play stupid games win stupid prizes!

    Lol OUCH.

Veedubin, Im not saying he should rot in prison. I think he should have done more time though. Even if no more time.... lets not say hes paying for it, he has to live with it, and all that other lip service. It doesnt effect me at all either. I have mixed feelings on it, like I said his friend knew what he was doing. I feel if Nick would be genuine, and seem honestly distraught, and remorseful, people wouldnt be so hard on him. but hes not. That is all.

When it happens to someone you know first hand you think different.
So because he was getting into a 1000hp car, he should have assumed that he was probably going to be rendered a vegetable? That's the same kind of bullshit rationale defense lawyers use to try and discredit rape victims who were dressed provocatively and in a club with mostly men.

Please, please don't be one of these self-righteous assholes who thinks something tragic has only happened to them. I've had friends die in horrific car accidents as well, including one where the kid driving lived. I know how it feels to lose close friends to careless accidents.

There's a kid locally who's spending the next 10 years in prison, having already done 5, for being involved in a street race in which the kids in the OTHER CAR ran off the road and died. So he got slapped with manslaughter charges, and under a new measure passed here, he got 15 years because they stated that since he was the one who incited the race, it's his fault that the 16 year old girl and her friend in the 400hp Eclipse couldn't control their car, and spun off the road and died. He wasn't even in the same FUCKING CAR, and he's spending 15 years in prison. But Mr. "My dad is the Hulkster" spends a couple of months in jail, and now you try to tell me he's "paying for it"?

I am not on Hogans dick for anything. It happens and for you guys to say the kid deserves to roast in hell for it is not your call. One day something big will happen to one of you and you will think twice on how you look at things.

I met the kid 1 time for 2 hours or so. I dont give a fuck about him personally, just the act....

Maybe if he seemed like a sincere person, who was genuinely apologetic, people wouldnt be so hard on him. You have his waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles mom and his dad talking about how its affecting Nicks life, their life, blah blah blah. They feel more sorry for how they are being effected, not the friend. He can be the coolest person in the world, really. Maybe they should spend some money on a decent publicist, so he comes off that way to the common folk (me).

Id imagine its county jail, not prison. That peice of shit was already cocky as it was, now hes going to think he pretty much got off free (which he did), and is untouchable. As far as him paying for it financially, no. HIS DAD IS PAYING. Fuck that loser.
Funny as I stated just above. I did not see one cocky bone in that kid when we hung out with him the day of the meet. He was level headed and nice as hell. He did not want to be known as Hogans son, but just another kid.

several of the local guys in Miami had a chance to meet him at a local meet we had. Everyone that was there will back him up as he was not full of himself and did not go pealing out with the supra with the other BMW guys that got the meet closed down. There is a posted link in e46fanatics about that meet.

Nick was level headed and pleasant to talk to. He was more interested in the BMWs there than showing off his Supra. People make mistakes and he made a big one. He is paying for it every day hes alive. Im sure it eats him up inside as well. Dont pass judgment unless you are free of sin. He did his time, he and his family are footing the bills. Enough said!
