As a Purdue student I was happy to see Orton play well, but sad to see him benched. Rex gets a bad rap. He has the skills, but his head is not there. Chicago fans seem to forget his amazing first 5 games last seaon. The D looked great last game, but we couldn't hold onto the ball on offense. All this talk of not stopping the run was pretty much squashed. I've still got high hopes, but it will definatly be tough with our schedule. I too think Garcia would have been a good pickup.

At half time Lovie pulls Orton and puts in Rex which was his 1st playing time since preseason that year. The crowd goes nuts with Rex coming in, he goes on to lead a few TD drives and wins the game.
I was at that game! It got down to -7 that night and we were in the top row, it was one of the coldest games in Bears history. I did not cheer when they pulled Rex because I went to Purdue and Kyle was the QB while I was there so I consider him my boy.

That was a great show to catch-up on the highlights. Even my wife would watch it and she won't watch football outside of the Bears games.

    Wait, do you play rugby?

I played at a high level when I was in high school, and people would ask me how bad it hurt because we didn't wear pads. But in reality, the two can't be compared like that. Pads in football are used as a weapon as much as protection.

Many of the scrum halfs in rugby could not take the hits that many quarterbacks do.

    Anyways back to football...

    GO HAWKS!
