Looks like you guys get some pretty good bud. But what is the price per gram? Is it actually what farbin said? 70 for an eighth? I can get just as good of bud for 40 an eighth.
But you guys get to carry and grow legally. I am envious about that. Just like that episode of Entourage.
And to the dude that we're getting ripped off at 280/ounce, you must not know good marijuana. That shitty brick weed that comes from up there really sucks. That's the type of shit you buy and sell. Don't even bother smoking that garbage. And that's probably what it's like for the poor people on the east coast as well.
Kids can't afford weed anymore?

They're god's gift in a Listerine pocket pack form. Place a strip on your tongue and let it dissolve.. They come in 3 flavors: citrus, mint, and straight MJ.
In 15 minutes you've got the best body high that gradually increases over about a 4 hour time span and then stays strong for roughly 5 hours after that. They're pretty great, and convenient when you're in a public place or traveling.
At my usual place, they sell these toffee bars which are about half an inch thick and 2x3" wide. They're labeled 35x, and when I purchased it, they warned me many times to only consume a small slice the size of a #2 pencil. Apparently if you were to consume the entire bar you would wish you never touched it. I'm guessing these are geared towards patients with severe chronic pain.

That's cool. I hope the tide turns & the other 49 states follow suit. I don't presently smoke, but I don't think it's government's business to decide for me if I can legally or not.
If I get old or get hurt & there's a somewhat decent reason to give weed a shot at helping me, I don't want to deal with legal hassles.
You guys who have these prescriptions got a good thing going - hope that doesn't come to a halt someday.Leave a comment:

Yeah, Cali doesn't mess around. A friend of mine went to SF a few weeks ago and brought back this shit that made my car smell like I ran over a family of skunks covered in baby poop and put them all in my back seat. I was lit like it was high school, all giggly and shit. Can't get weed like that around here, especially not at $45/eighth. She has some serious balls for flying back with it. I guess the drug dogs had the day off.Leave a comment:

Yes, it's actually a great system here in CA. If you've got a "qualifying condition" you go and see a "special doctor" and they write you up a doctor's recommendation which allows you to gain "safe access" to the dispensaries located throughout the state. Each county in California has their own laws/limitations to how much marijuana you can possess.Woah, woah, woah - you gotta explain that one. You have a card that lets you buy pot? How does that work? Is it just a 'get of jail free' card - or is there a store you go to & buy pot like I buy a 6-er of Sam Adams or Rogue?
That's cool if that's what it is - but props for kicking it entirely. It may not hinder most people in life, but I've never seen a study where pot turned people into overachievers.
The dispensaries blow my mind. It's a marijuana paradise. The marijuana edibles are insane...Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, honey, rice crispy treats, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, suckers, energry drinks, BREATH STRIPS (Just like the Listerine pocket packs, and you're high all day).
The way the system works is quite simple. When you're a legal patient you're allowed to grow up to a certain amount of plants in your home. In my case, here in LA I can have up to 12 immature plants OR 6 mature plants. And can carry 8 ounces of bud at any given time. I simply post my doctor's recommendation on the wall of my grow room.
The clinics get their weed from the patients, and they in-turn sell the marijuana back to other patients. Since the patients can legally grow, it's a great little system. This is why it's common for most clinics to "teach" patients how to grow and cultivate.
Besides the fact that I do need the medication, there's something quite nice about being able to "buy" back a piece of freedom.Last edited by s0urce; 11-09-2007, 10:29 AM.Leave a comment:

In California you can get referred to a doctor that can prescribe pot for several different "medical" uses. Lots of people though have them without much reason, but got them anyway. Oww, I have migranes, chronic pains from an injury, etc... Some big medical uses but others are just kind of excuses :) But no, its not really a get out of jail free card, although it can be, it also lets you go into places where you can actually buy it legally, including pot brownies, little cakes, chocolate milks, all sorts of stuff...
so I hear.Leave a comment:
