Hasn't there been two stigs through out the show? Didn't the first one die, thought I remember hearing that. He wore all black the new one wears all white. Or am I wrong.

There are many many stigs.
Just different people wearing the same thing.

My personal favorite was "Big Stig" from the States.

You're right. He didn't die. They just staged it as I believe his identity was found out. Although the current Stig was already caught on camera talking and there are fairly good speculations of who it is.
