Fibrosis is no joke. I knew someone who died from fibrosis (I think his was cystic (SP?)). It slow eats away at you until you cant breathe anymore. And you in turn basically die of suffocation is how they explained it to me if I remember correctly.

Im not big on watching all these jumps and what not. but I think its pretty fuckin sweet that he did this with just a regular street bike Harley or whatever, and not these super bikes guys use nowadays.

If anyone is interested in an interview with him, the Jim Rome one a few years back was epic.

Especially sad because pulmonary fibrosis (most likely cause of death) is a slow process that produces panic reactions due to low oxygen levels in the brain. For someone who is identified with risk and overcoming fear to have that battle at the end of your life seems wrong.
I saw him jump at the Kil-Kare Dragway in Xenia, Ohio in the late 1960's when he was about 30 years old. Today, a lot of people are doing what he did. One thing you can't take away from him is that he was the archetype.

Who said I was defending anything/one? I'm talking about you being a moron who thinks he's a whole lot funnier than he is. This was meant to be a tribute thread to The Original Adrenalin Junkie and you have to dick it up with your bullshit.
