You couldn't hack it at a university, went to a tech school, found a career field you enjoy and excel in. Congratulations, would you like a cookie?

    That's what you said.
I am calling you out for this and only this. I don't care about you friends with "specialty degrees" as I said in my last post. You were being a dick and I called you out.
You just reworded what i said in the first place. The first post would have been positive if he had no said "4 Year Schools FTL."
I'm pretty sure he was speaking for himself and not for your buddies who are clearly doing well.
As far as your tenure goes, again I don't care. You don't post often, but apparently when you do you like to call people out. How are you being helpful in this forum? Are you giving advice? Are you selling things to other r3v members at a discount? Nope. Tell you what, why don't you keep your post count where it is and just read from now on. Clearly you can't seem to grasp the concept of holding back.
Would you like a cookie now?

Apparently lance didn't learn much from those classes then. Agreed though - my favorite classes have been the least relevant. Philosophy, human sexuality, neuroscience, ect..

Is that what a college education buys you?

Once again people - here is an example of a person who absolutely needs a degree to eat.

And history / art appreciation is supposed to broaden you (the point of college truly along with networking / personal growth), and not make you an uneducated hilljack.

Enjoy your fake school, and dead-end job.

I was going for Computer Science and it was stupid as hell. Why do I need to take history for that? Theres no fucking point. Oh I had to take art too, WTF will that EVER do for computer science?

If I didn't have to take like 5 more math classes I would still be in it. 90% of the math I took had no relation to anything I was doing with computers even though all the counselors claimed it did.

Had I just gone to a tech school off the crack I would be done now, and not have wasted all my time and money at a real school.

Second. Atleast he knows what he wants to do.
A trade school taught him that. How many people do you know with college degrees who are using them.

Warning.... your post count is too low to be the new Blunt.
You just reworded what i said in the first place. The first post would have been positive if he had no said "4 Year Schools FTL." Everyone I know that has graduated in the past couple years actually got a degree that was worth something. I know someone who is now working as a 3d animator/graphic designer, another that is head of marketing at a large bank, and another working finance for a major law firm. All straight out of college... BECAUSE of their degrees.

    As for this:

    Wow.

If you want to be a mechanic. Otherwise... no.
First of all, who the fuck are you??????

True if you have a degree it may help in getting hired off the bat. But that is where it ends. (unless it is a specialty like engineering). Any lazy moronic asshole can graduate from the university of whatever with a "degree". Employers look at a degree as a commitment. Nothing more. This person was able to commit 4 years to a specific thing so inturn they shoud stay with us for at least that amount of time if we pay them just enough and give them the "benefits" they deserve.
If you started in a sales position when you were 18 and worked at that company for five years you would be up for promotion quicker than a 22 year old college graduate who has been working for a year. 5yrs work experience = 4yrs college.
The only thing holding a non college grad back is promotions to director or vp. If you are that good however most companies will make sure you can acheive a degree on their dime to make that level in your career.
A degree is not by any means bullshit. It doesn't make you less lazy though. I have fired more people with degrees than without. That's my experience.

The main reason I replied negatively in the first place was this:
I was just agitated with the fact that the first post was hating on the dude. 4 year schools are not always "FTW"
