I would rather go with a nice Mitsubishi Starion. i love the way they have e30 m3 style fenders.

Same here, too bad those engines really sucked-they had an iron block/head 4-cyl that had aluminum parts press-fit into the head. You can imagine the warping issues....

If you want a really badass car and you aren't very tall, go for a mkI MR2 supercharged.

thats what the red car has that max posted earlier. Its my bros car. He just put a single turbo setup on it, shooting for 400whp.

a guy at my tech school has one in the shop right now just like your old one...the turbo went out, and the engine was in sorry shape. So he pulled motor to rebuild it and the turbo. It was def. a cool car after seeing it in person. Any inline6 thats turbo is generally fun...dunno much on the reliability of those tho

could have been - i sold it about 4 years ago to a guy in chicago (right before i got the e30).... but the motor was refreshed shortly before i got rid of it; it was in mega clean shape, even the crosshatching was still visible on the cylinder walls.

I wonder what people say on other forums to members who are thinking about getting an e30?

When I purchased my first one there weren't any but one on the road in my area. Then my roommate gets one. Now a few years later i see different ones drivin round all the time. Not all of them are nice or even enthusiast driven but i never used to see them as much. Maybe now I'm just lookin a bit harder.

ha, I remember this. I raced one of these on highway 30, the guy kept getting mad at me for hitting the lights right when they turned green so he took off on a stretch then I jammed on it with my eta and burnt it.
I would say find interest in something more interesting, such as a toaster.

I had a MK3 for a while. It had tons of stuff done to it and when it ran right, was fast as hell. I wouldn't buy another one personally. They're 3700 lb. pigs. If I was going to get back into a Supra I'd get a MK2 and call my buddy Aaron at http://www.rabidchimp.com/ for a turbo kit. Have you considered FC RX7s? Far more fun than Supras and a much cooler community. As soon as I have a garage a LS1 FC is going to happen in it. Supraforums and Supramania are both loaded with info. I'd stay in the MK3 section on supraforums though, as most of the MKIV guys don't think the MK3 deserves to have a Supra badge on them ;)

Yeah, I like RX7's too, I just don't know crap about rotaries. I was just looking at mk3 supras because they're rwd and i thought they looked alright and they were around the price of a well sorted e30. I just have to have RWD. Right now i'm driving a ford escort and I HATE the fwd.
