My brother and I recently had a flight with two stops and two plane changes. At the departure we were talking to this good looking blond woman that was making the same trip. We were joking with her about going through the gates behind her because she would get stopped and pulled out of line because she was so good looking. Same thing at all three stops! They pulled her out of line and we walked right on through.Leave a comment:

Ok, now do you realize that when they hire for mass positions, they find a type-set of person they want & hire as many as they find. You were part of the herd, face it. If you want to scream vulgarities at me, feel free - I'm basing this though on real world workforce experience.
In my case I was a oil refinery operator - on the psych portion of the testing was a particular question that was why they hired oil refinery guys. It went something like "I enjoy driving a car at or near its' limit - you gave it a 1 to a 4 rating. 4 meant you loved it, but somewhere in my mind I was about to answer "1" when I just stopped & said "screw it, they get me for me" - so I marked "4".
The important part is that down the road a few years & I'd talked to most everyone there - we had all been the ones marking 4. They found their group to hire - the semi-crazies.
Oil refinerys want the kind of guy who will do some insane things on occasion. They even told us outright they wanted us crazy enough to do the job, but sane enough to reliably show up everyday.
What's my point?
-You just bagged on nearly every TSA employee, but yet you are some oasis of knowledge in a desert of retards? Slim chance, unless you are the head of the TSA.
Sorry to burst your self-image bubble. You were lumped in with the retards.Last edited by Sean5294; 03-01-2008, 07:01 PM.Leave a comment:

The TSA is taking over the verification of passenger ID against a list of known terrorists, etc. This was previously handled by the airlines. The airlines used to ask for the credit card if used to purchase the ticket and a photo ID to check you in. Then you walked through the security gate. Now TSA does both. Now if you have a ticket and a boarding pass and no baggage to check, the airline waves you on through.Leave a comment:

I don't want to argue with you, you got butthurt because I called the people who work for the TSA retarded. Maybe retarded is a little stiff, but I've seen some pretty dim-bulbs check my baggage - those people in question don't inspire a great deal of confidence with regards to the detailed level of the job they are doing.
I'm going to stop addressing your posts before Josh gets pisssed and locks the thread.Leave a comment:

I'm not going to get into a pissing match, but you brought that up first chief; discussing how you get first hand information regarding the "hunting down" of teh terrorista's.Leave a comment:

Everything you just said is completely true. I've never encountered anyone being rude to a traveler, but I've seen a lot of people who simply go through the motions of whatever their specifid job is and really not actually pay any attention what-so-ever to the task at hand.Leave a comment:

you are exactly right, but with every "class" of new people and diminishing lack of standards, it is going to get worse. they will hire just about anyone right now. The idea for the TSA was good but they really lack the knowledge to implement it. Now all we have are a bunch of idiots or from what was posted earlier "retards" working and running things. I see the self collapse of the organization coming soon. (If it helps you any I have been there since day one and have never had a passenger file a complaint, I always treat people as I would want to be treated in a professional manner. when I see screeners talking on the cell phones and yelling at people it just makes me sick)
Don't forget you quart size baggie :-D
