My dog got out of jail today!

Here we go again... I just got back from walking my dogs to this really nice neighborhood park. The park is somewhat in this little tucked away rich neighborhood but it's a public park none-the-less. I get there and there's this maybe 39/40 year old blond lady walking around holding a folded up leash in her hand. Yeah.... I'm like fkng great. What is it with these people not being able to follow a simple law. All dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet long. Unsightly signs reminding you of this and to place your dog's' shit in your pocket are generously placed around the park!

So as I'm walking in, she passes close enough for me to tell her "Excuse me mam, if I'm not mistaken, dogs must be on a leash." She replies rudely, "yeah I know, don't worry, my dog won't come near you, don't worry." All irritated and shit. Maybe I should have been rude instead. I say fk it and commence to wander the park; really nice park. Sure enough within a couple of minutes, I'm looking one way and China yanks me the other. I turn around and her dog is within 10 or so feet. She walks up and I state, "mam, if not for the law (which is posted all over this mothafk) could you, out of consideration, keep your dog on the leash at least until I leave?"

LOL, wow....

The 40 year old blond, "I don't understand why you want my dog on a leash", "Why do you want my dog on a leash" "Why are you so worried" "You know why, you know why" "Are you so afraid of your dogs like that". I replied, "No, I'm not afraid of my dogs, I'm afraid of your dog, afraid that your dog being off the leash will come up to me and my dogs and who knows what happens from there."

W.T.F??? At this point I'm getting irritated.

As she is telling me this, she is walking up to me and her dog begins to come over. "Mam, please don't approach me" "Secondly, respectfully, I do not have to explain myself, I am simply asking you to respect the law and me in regards to it."

She keeps on... "I want to understand why." At this point, my cell phone comes out and I advise her that I will be contacting Addison to help her resolve her issue. I also walk over enough to snap a picture of the back of her car, for whatever purpose.

"I'm putting my dog on the leash, ok" she says as she walks to her car and leaves...

Seriously, I wish we could all walk around but naked and pick and choose females to sleep with. I wish we could let are dogs run loose at parks but we can't! We know this. It's posted all over the place. At the very least, let them run loose and at first site of someone, leash them. I've learned first hand the stupidity of this. And I learned it from the abiding side of things. Whatever. Pisses me off.

My family has a boxer mix. Sometimes he would like to get out of the backyard. One day he wondered down the street to one of the kids house i went to school with. Well, needless to say, my dog ended up biting my friends ankle becuase my friend was fucking with my dog. They called the cops and the dog went to doggy prison. Had to pay a fine and all sorts of shit. My friend claimed he was injured and all this jazz but wasnt even there when the cops came because he went to a party or something. Was a whole lot of trouble for nothing. Fines and paying for doggy prison.. Ridiculous

The irony of the situation though, is in my moms neighborhood, there are strays everywhere. The dog that ended up biting someone was actually a fucking stray we took in and made our own pet. So not only do we do a favor to society by taking in a stray and raising him for the past 8 years, but we get fucked by society when he does what he instinctively wants to do when being provoked to do so!

Any dog that breaks the skin by biting is quarantined to verify it does not have rabies regardless of vaccination status. He will be quarantined everytime he breaks the skin of another dog or person. That's state law.

yeah, I know... they said it's state procedure for a dog to have to be sent to Quarantine for 10 days if it bites another animal and hasn't had their Rabies shot within the past 3 months. I'm basically screwed unless I want to file suit. It's bullshit. They kept us separate the whole time and anytime I brough up the leash law and the fact that her dog came up to us, they would tell me don't worry about our job. Fkng BS man.. I don't even like to think about it. It infuriates me.

Im not gonna TELL you, but ill put my opinion in... i would get the info of the owner of the small dog, and goto court and file a lawsuit. for the fee's, harassment from HER, her RAT, and then i will file a lawsuit to the city for your dog getting the cough (she can die from it, as i worked in a animal shelter), and malnutrition.

well the problem with pet owners is the same with parents, a lot of them suck, and then the problem is only amplified when you surround a sucky pet owner or parent with a pretentious assbag who has neither, but thinks they can help by calling some government sanctioned division to come take care of everything. People should take care of their own business, and not be dumb. Who calls the cops on a barking dog, seriously. Part of living in a neighborhood. I highly doubt they do anything but piss and moan when a car alarm goes off all night, even thought hat could actually be someone breaking into a car.

A friend's family in Houston when they had just moved from missouri, left their dog in the yard at their house overnight for 1 fucking night, while they stayed in a hotel because the moving company was later, and their tool of a neighbor (Who mind you, has a literally 2 foot tall back yard) called animal control, and they took posession of the dog. So they got a note, went to pick up sugar, their yellow lab, and they get there, only to find out that someone accidentally uthenized the dog, because they didn't check for a tag of some sort. That was the most fucked up thing ever. Dogs bark? What? Fucking idiots. Their children, 3, 5, and 7, were all traumatized. To make up for it though animal control bought them a new one and had it flown in. But seriously, imagine if they were running a hospital or prison and had human lives in their hands with that kind of incompetence. Just... wow.
