Until you beat A class, there is no option to tune the cars (add hp, less weight, adjust suspension and gearing)... so in simple terms; yes.

so you cant upgrade cars until you win a class?

Well I won A class, it unlocks tune section (with a point system, allows adjustment of suspension, gearing, etc) it gives you a Nissan concept car, allows you to race online for big money (raced in PP600 with a F430, make sure you tune the car before you go racing, because other players are running higher horsepower/less weight; price money for first is 35,000CR.)
and it unlocks a S class series.

This game is absolutely a blast, and the physics are dead on. Plus the G25 steering wheel makes it that much better. :razz:




Unfortunately the clutch isn't functional in GT5P, but it is supposed to be in the full release. The gated 6 speed shifter works great though!

Are you faster on the controller than the steering wheel? Last time I used a steering wheel (gt4), I was a couple of seconds slower compared to when I use the controller.

I can not get through the B license integra type R challenge for shit... Pass 16 cars in one lap on the high speed ring course. Hard as damn it ! I have come in 4th many times as close as .245 seconds back from 3rd but just can not close the damn deal YET !!

When does the "real" Gt5 release?

From what I gather it releases in Japan in July 2008 but no mention on other releases either. But if it comes out then in Japan I would assume it will be a Christmas time release here in the USA.
