The bar code is actually my social security number. It symbolizes our consumerist society and how I am a product of it and how I have numbers to catalog me just like the products in a store. The hydrogen atom symbolizes simplicity because hydrogen is the simplest and most abundant element in the universe. It is also in everything.Leave a comment:

I have had a bar code on my right wrist for a couple years. Yesterday I had a Dr. Manhattan hydrogen atom done on my left wrist.Leave a comment:

I think I'm gonna get my tattoo this weekend. "Eat well, stay fit, die anyways". I don't remember where the quote came from or how, but as far as I can tell its something I thought of myself. I'm thinking of having it done in a Vegas style of font.
Something similar to this:
I know this is something to get for myself, and thats why i'm doing it, but I'm looking for opinions about it.Leave a comment:

Selling my car tomorrow and starting on my tattoo's lol, been thinking about what I want to get for the last 5 years, but the closer the time comes to getting it, the more indecisive I get. I know at some point I'll have them all done, but just not sure which will be the first...
So what better place to ask than r3v :giggle:
1) Sublime sun - not sure where I'll get mine (my dad had it on his stomach so it'll be a memorial to him, and I like Sublime)
2) Fenrir/Fenris - wrapped around my torso $$$ (Mythological Norse wolf, supposed to kill Odin in the Ragnarok, blah blah blah too much to type, basically a giant evil wolf. And I'm almost full Swedish, and the rest is Norwegian, German and French so it's most of my heritage.)
3) Social Distortion skeleton w/ the martini & cig on my calf (just my favorite band, and if it's done right it'll look great.)
4) Odin's ravens - one on each shoulder blade facing in (Huginn and Muninn, fly around Earth daily and tell Odin of all that is happening on Earth)
5) A complex combination that is from the torso up a Frost Giant -Ymir- (again, Norse mythology) and from the torso down is about half of the earth.
6) Two logs somehow wrapped around the bottom with partial humanistic features (blah blah, Odin and his 2 brothers give them breath and life, brain and feeling, and hearing and sight. Voila - instant people lol.
Yes I know that's a lot of work, a lot of hours, and a lot of money. But I'm only 18, I've got a little while. And like I said, none of these are just spur of the moment type things, I've thought about them for years, just unsure of where to start. Because I know I don't want the Norse ones to just be willy-nilly all over the place but somehow connected (well... maybe not connected per se, but somehow all fitting together)Leave a comment:
