There is a guy that build factory Suzuki bikes (you can buy the bike and for an additional 20k have hime do his stuff to it, can't remember his name) and he brought one over to the shop I work at (friends with the owner). Well, the ENTIRE wheel was made of carbon. I about busted a nut right there.

BBS race wheels don't fit on street cars. But I wasn't comparing...

I'd say no to hitting a wall. I do know Dymag is popular on the newer 996+ P-cars. I've seen two cars with the wheels, one a turbo-vert, and one a gt2. Not sure on the specific year. Both are streetcars.

We have one customer at the shop I work at with those Dymag wheels on his Audi. Pretty sweet looking.

I talked to the US distributer for Dymag wheels. Asked the price for the carbon/mag wheels....he said up around $2500.000000 each (yes those extra zeros are for emphasis).
