This thread just became a pissing contest. Let's see who wins. I'm voting for Blunt.

I don't leave valuables in my car, and I don't lock it as if someone wants to get in, they'll cut the top open which will cost a lot to replace.

Top down, doors and glovebox unlocked and nothing inside worth stealing.

Not worth the effort. The only thing you seem to have going for you is a bad attitude. Now run along back to your mommy's bed and cry to her about the bad, bad people on the interweb.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Minneapolis on COPS before- some guy stole another guys snowmobile and they all got into a Labatt's-fueled brawl over it.

But yeah, I think about 50% of COPS episodes are filmed in Florida, 20% each in Texas and Missouri, and 10% in Colorado and Washington. I'm glad they don't film any in NC- though they could easily get a year's worth of shows just within a 20 mile radius of where I live. One of my neighbors was arrested this week for ramming an ex-roommates car with her car when she came home to find the ex-roommate moving out of her house with the help of a new "friend".... Then there was a mysterious trailer (mobile home) explosion a couple of weeks ago that injured a bunch of people- now they're saying it was likely due to a Meth lab blowing up inside the trailer. I could go on....

I wish they'd get rid of some of these other worthless cable channels and make a COPS channel.
i can recite every episode of cops word for word and ive only seen 2 episodes of cops filmed in minneapolis over a 15 year period. minneapolis has its areas that are ghetto as hell but here in gods country its a veritable paradise. sometimes ill take a weeks vacation and sit in my backyard for 7 days.

Yes, because COPS shows the best neighborhoods everywhere they go. I've been to LA, and I wouldn't live there if my life depended on it. NYC, maybe.

Your shirt comment is actually almost funny in light of your avatar. Ultimately it fails, but it was a good attempt. Unfortunately for you, I'm wearing a button-down shirt right now.

I get the idea, I've just never known of anyone having problems like that. This is fortunately a pretty low-crime region, even though I live close to a fairly large city.

But lets see... you are pissed off because you have a portable electronic device displayed to everyone, sitting in your car, unlocked, welcoming thieves. You dont have to be the head cashier at Walmart to know thats pretty stupid.
They're not talking about the device, just the bracket for it.

ow I know: My key fob went out and the doors didn't always lock. Well, I came out of the gym one night to find all my stuff gone and nothing broken or forced. Doors were unlocked and they got my computer, bags, multitool, Grad school books, etc etc. No help from insurance. If i knew what a-holes they were going to be I'd have busted a window myself and then piggybacked everything else onto it.

    Sounds like All State.

Most thefts I come across are always covered by insurace, depending on your coverage that is. Also, word to the wise, if you have renter's insurance, ALWAYS park in your driveway.
