It just mushroomed and I do NOT want to force it in. It is the factory standard 200pin ram and it's not a no name brand either, its Kingston. I Searched on Newegg by model and it told me what ram to buy.Leave a comment:

yup thats it, you should be able to hold it in place(basically provide support so it doesn't squish) with the tip of an exacto knife so that you can slide the card over it. Just be careful not to stab yourself or the card, but it will do the trick. Oh yes, and ground yourself.Leave a comment:

pic? if its what i think you are talking about, just use an exacto to hold it open or in place while you slide it in(be careful).Leave a comment:

Yea theres like a little space or slot on the ram stick that the plastic tabs slides into, its not on the side its between the pins on the ram.Leave a comment:

Comuter hardware help!
So I went to upgrade the RAM on my laptop, it only had one stick of 512 so I bought 2 sticks of 1gb. I pull the old one out, put the first new one in and then go to put the 2nd one in, fucking little plastic nub that makes sure youre putting the ram in the right way just squishes so now I can't push the ram in all the way. What the hell am I supposed to do know?
