I'm just glad that I'm not the only one who hates the Colbert report. The guy is an idiot poseur whose show is a carbon copy of the Daily Show.

The Chocolate News looks like a show dedicated to the white person's view of black people. Reminds me of the House of Payne show on TBS, I think black people roll their eyes at that crap.

Chocolate News looks dumb as hell as well as House of Payne, but many black people love Tyler Perry. His shitty, low-budget movies make 40+million.

The Colbert report is hilarious. As someone else said, he has a completely different spin being that he is a satire of pundits.

Thanks for chiming in with all the rest of the shows that blow donkey balls. When I saw previews for Root of All Evil I thought it was going to be good. Too bad is sucks asshole though, I have yet to laugh while watching it.

The point was not to copy/ridicule The Daily Show, it was to make a satire of The O'Reilly Factor, IIRC.

Stewart pitched the show, gave many of his writers to Colbert Report. They work hand in hand. Stewarts show is more neutral and genuine, while Colbert is a playing a pundit. Colbert pulls it off really well, and his Correspondence Dinner performance was one of the funniest ever, second only to Lewis Black (very close to me).
