when i went to school (i am 36 now) it was still a pretty good education. in fact the 2 year stint i did at a private catholic HS was a worse education than i received at the public HS.
i actually had to catch up when i returned for my senior year (even though i was done before lunch).

i have talked to kids (usually like shop helper kids working after they get out of school) the requirements for graduation have been so relaxed it is pitiful. no wonder we are at the bottom of the heap in AZ!
