Yes, it's to die for. If I was on Death Row, that bottle would be my last meal.

BTW, ATM I'm sipping on an American Ale. Leaves something to be desired if I'm reporting realtime with beer in hand.

I have a badass distributor across the street from my work. I go in 3-4 times a week, even if not to buy anything. They let me sample something or we just bullshit or whatever. They make mixpacks, sell individual bottles, have beer swaps where local brewers come in and hand out their private non-commecrial stuff, homebrewers bring in their stuff, and we drink it all and trade beers. I may see what they can do for the Utopias. Sounds like it's worth it. It seems like the '07 brew is going quick though. Anyone want a price check on it?

    Farbin, you had Utopias?

^^^ That is on my to do list. Looks like it's selling for $200-$400 for the 24 oz bottle.

The Triple Bock I think is second to Utopia as far as SA rarity goes. It was brewed 3 times. I got a case of the 1997 brew. Ounce for ounce, it was more expensive then the Choclate Bock... it was $120 for 24 8.45 ounce bottles. The triple bock is thick, the coating it leaves on the glass is like maple syrup.

The Chocolate Bock is only 5.x abv... but the Chocolate is from rare cacao beans only found in Bolivia and is apparently rather heavenly I'll report back after I try it.

Of course, some Chimay and Same Adams Triple Bock (that was $120 for the case)...

I started keeping one of each beer I bought a few months ago...

In terms of local-ish beers, Harpoon (MA) has a 100 Barrel series that is not readily available everywhere, and their new Leviathan line of beers are all 120 barrel batches of limited edition brew. I've had their DIPA in a bottle and on tap. It was very well-integrated, hitting all the points right. Malty, not cloying, opening up to a great bitter hop finish, good mouthfeel, great appearance. This is not to be mistaken for Harpoon IPA, which is really thin and not very hoppy for an IPA. It is more like an American Pale Ale, if that.
