I disagree. White kids are growing up thinking blacks are special and can't say shit to them without someone saying they are racist. In the mean time blacks get away with calling whites "whitey" and "cracker" all the time. And get away with it.

I could not agree with you more! My sister lost a job because a black guy said that she said "n***er", while she yells at me if i make a simple black joke. So I can vouch for her not saying that. But! Since the black guy and his girlfriend said that my sister said it she got fired.

Sexism has gone the same way, women now feel like they can make fun of men. Google "Male bashing on tv" (I think)

For some reason this reminds me of the time I was following an old suburban doing 45, tried to pass him twice, both times he sped up to 90 so I couldn't pass then in the next town he gets out to yell at me for placing his kids in danger

Yes, racism still exists but on a much smaller scale and it is not popularly accepted like it has been in the past. You only have to look at the past 150 or so years since the Civil War to see this. First with the Emancipation Proclamation, then with the Civil Rights movement and now with Obama being elected. Children are growing up to view races as equal rather than growing up with slaves or with blacks sitting at the back of the bus. Also, speaking in evolutionary terms, interbreeding is becoming more and more widespread and separate races as a whole are disappearing. The percentage of people that are mixed race is growing exponentially. Racism is disappearing in this country slowly but surely. Will it ever be gone completely? Not likely as long as there is more than one race.

That is obviously a terrible thing but living in the US we are actually very lucky in many regards. We have gotten to a point where racism is discussed and criticized and thank God it is going the way of the dinosaur. In many other countries though it is just accepted as part of life and no one bats an eye. Entire populations of people are being whipped out in Sudan because of their race.

That is true, I have had the opportunity (or somewhat misfortune) to travel to some places that make here look like Panacea.
