Thanks, although that doesn't clear up much.

Dichotomy, that's a really good word. Thanks for refreshing my vocabulary.

Unfortunately the site owner and admin lost interest and since then it seems content and enthusiasm have gone down.

I am SO HAPPY we have James here, he is truly an E30 enthusiast and the man loves this forum. Even though he has a real full time job he still finds the time to keep the gears turning behind the scenes. I know for a fact he's put a lot of his own time and money in to this forum and for that we should ALL be grateful.
This. Over and over the r3v vs tech debate comes up and people (on both sides, mind you) keep slinging shit. Such dichotomy is nothing less than destructive to the overall community

Of the two forums, it seems to me that E30tech is the one that has a harder time with the humor style that we have over here on r3v, and if anyone has a "bleeding vagina", as you put it, it would be e3t people posting stuff like you did over here on r3v. As James mentioned, I am just speaking for myself here, I don't want to put words in James's mouth.

James: Your philosophy of website administration is what has made r3v into the great community that it is. Much love. No homo. ;)

I liked e30 tech until I found r3v. I never got to post over there because I was never activated until like a year after I registered. I usually only go there if a Google search pops a link to it up. There are some very good writeups there though, like disassembling an LSD.

IMO, e30 tech is good as an info source, kinda like Wikipedia, but for a question that needs answered, r3v excels. Plus too, r3v is mah friendz.

I used both sites. More so R3v nowadays.

When I first started I used both equally, then I saw the structure started to fall apart at tech and it kinda just died to 1-2 posts a day on the entire forum. It was quite slow. R3v was still up and going with many people posting knowledge or funnies. When I switched over to being on R3v more was when I noticed a few features on R3v that made it easier to navigate.

I use r3v as an answer to all my e30 technical inquiries and as a means to have fun and say what's on my mind. I appreciate the awesome atmosphere this place has and I totally embrace all the oddball characters we have on here. Keep up the sweet ass job you've been doing here James. Viva la R3v! LOL

I had to delete it from the database directly as I could not get a browser to not freeze.
