Israeli-Gaza conflict about to get serious?

Egypt let Israeli and US warships pass through the Suez Canal as Iranian flotilla approaches Gaza. Egypt closed the canal to protect the ships.

"...a warning to Iran it may face military opposition if the Iranian Red Crescent ship continues on course to Gaza."

      Red Crescent = Red Cross

So now, Israel is going to sink a humanitarian ship from the Iranian Red Cross? ;-)

Iran then would have the perfect excuse to nuke Israel. Bad move from the Israeli governement and for the US. If the US pisses of the Iranian Shiites, then the Iraqi Shiites will stir some major shit in Iraq. Say goodbye to Iraqi oil and the billions spent to get it...

History shows that they enjoy hiding behind women and children to shield their attack. But Im sure you already know this being the great Lee.

you all know forcibly running a blockade (that's been sanctioned by the U.N. and is legal according to internationally-accepted maritime law) amounts to an act of war, right?

Iraq is second oil reserve in the world, just behind Saudi Arabia.

Quick read for you about the Geneva convention.

[*]Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is prohibited [*]It is prohibited to attack, destroy, remove or render useless objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population, such as foodstuffs, agricultural areas for the production of foodstuffs, crops, livestock, drinking water installations and supplies and irrigation works, for the specific purpose of denying them for their sustenance value to the civilian population or to the adverse Party, whatever the motive, whether in order to starve out civilians, to cause them to move away, or for any other motive

BTW as far as legitimizing the blockade because it is UN-approved", that's a strange statement of yours, especially that the UN is sanctonning Israel for it. And the world, but one or two contries, oppose that blockade. Perhaps Sionists are again the poor victims...

Lee- There's many methods Israel uses to allow food and other necessities to pass through to Gaza. It's well documented. Israel offered to inspect the cargo enroute to Gaza and was rebuffed. Please go do more reading about the Geneva conventions- you post suggests you have no idea what they are about, their scope or jurisdiction.
