Him coming out of vacation over this is racially charged. Nothing more. Yes he touched on the topic of militarization in the police force, but just like Trayvon Martin, Obama felt like he had to make some kind of comment/speech. If this were turned around, I highly doubt Obama would be popping out of his vacation to make a public address. He's no better than Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the new Black Panthers, etc. Always making everything about racism, Racism, RACISM!!!

Since no one has brought this up - that I can see - part of the issue is the 1033 program - the DoD Excess Property Program. Police office can essentially apply and purchase surplus military equipment. Given the context of our hyperfear of terrorism, a good amount of this equipment is bought with that in mind.
