    Depends what you use the glass for, also FX or DX.

    80-200 is a great lens. I actually got mine for a total of 450, so can't complain.

    Daniel, there is an 80-200 af-d which sells for about 750 used and that's usually what I use. Although it doesn't focus as quickly for sports it's still a nice, sharp, high quality 2.8 tele for a good price.

    But I'm in the same situation as you. HS senior, and I'm trying to get a E30 to make into a track whore. Hopefully I can make it work!

And even with that - most turbobrickers are conservative in their styling taste.
