oldskool thats my EXACT plan for the bash bar on my drift rat, stock bumper shocks FTW! Nice to see it'll work without issue.

From the picture it seems to be tied into the engine supports or front carriers , wheel housings / those sidemembers (which in turn effectively makes it tied to the McP strut housings beacause of the way it's put together). All of which I'd call structural or load bearing parts of the chassis. Picture doesn't show if it's welded to the fire wall or wind screen "apron". That would be a good idea since it's a weak area.

I'd rather just buy this car. If i had the garage space for a dedicated track car i'd be all over this one.

No one is claiming that its a tube frame. Entirely different.
Drift crowd is pretty versed on doing these "front tube chassis" on their front ends.
It does make the front end stronger in on course impacts with no damage to the tube cage when done properly.
Just bang out the bodywork or hang new panels and the rest is still good.

Now that e30 has the right idea but horrible execution.
From the pic it looks they don't have a handle on what they are doing or why they are doing it.

Granted its still in progress but it seems a little silly to build a tube frame and not tie it into anything structural or ditch the mac struts for a proper A-arm setup. Looks like they're doing this just to gain tire clearance and and have a way to quickly remove/replace/hang body work...

I have a hard time believing that weighs less than the factory support once gutted...

Thats not a tube front end, hardly qualifies as tube bracing really.

This is the front of one of my projects, its tube frame for sure.

im not seeing the point, why tube frame and keep all the factory pick up points? and i would think a drift car would want some sort of "crumple" zones since they touch the wall so much.
