Do you have a later model 325i or 318is?
If I were to take a guess... it looks like you've got:
low pressure pump feeding --> externally mounted high pressure --> fuel filter --> surge tank --> to fuel rail
Is that about right?

That's exactly what I'm afriad of. I rather see it first before I pull the trigger on this.

Ill see if I can get a pick of mine. I modified the bracket that holds the fuel pump and filter. It tucks nice up on the tank lip.

Would this work with a 255 in tank pump and a 255 inline, or would I have to have a higher pressure inline?

But then again, have not had many issues with starvation. Got the '85 tank/dual pump setup, and it's been pretty reliable so far.

Very nice product, but be sure to check the welds. We had an issue with one that was mounted and spewed fuel like nobodies business.
Could have been from install, or something else. Cover three holes and blow in the fourth, that should tell you what you need to know.
