Ha i was a little supprised myself, but the drag radials made a huge difference. I got two 1.9s and a few 2.0. Drag racing is definitly not the ultimate but it costs 20 a night around here and you can get about 20 runs in so its cheap fun! plsu there's lots of mustangs there to humnble! :)

I wish I could get a 1.9! I need to get back to the track. I don't really care that much about drag racing but it can definitely be fun.

So i got some runs in tonight with the 4:10. Also put on some 245/50/16 nitto nt555r drag radials. My best was 13.3 and 102mph. Managed a 1.9 60ft but i think i could still do a little better with that!

All stock bolts. Dropping it is easy, putting it back up is a little trickier.

    Tools needed:

    19mm wrench
17mm wrench - also to be used as a leverage tool for the 4 19mm bolts that hold up the diff from the top side.
    19mm socket with breaker bar
    7mm Allen socket...3/8s preferably

Those are all the tools you need.

Your too far away and shipping would kill the deal but I have a 3.25LSD i'd like to trade for a 3.73LSD.

Got nitto nt555r tires coming tomorrow! They are 245/50/16. And ya i'm a tad over 300whp so i can't have too long of gears. I'd like to invest in some axles but don't really have the money right now! :( Oh well sometime soon!

Do the math for trap speed and calculate the gears needed for 1320; powerful cars dont need to shift much.

Are you staggering the launch boost? Usually like 10-15-20psi depending on gear

G260 is very long with 4th gear 1:1. A local e36m drag car at 1,000rwhp I setup with 3.64 final drive; 3.1L built engine with gtx45r turbo out the hood and mustang TKO 5 speed with 4th gear 1:1. 8krpm redline

    he trapps 160mph and 9.0 sec with a 1:1 4th gear/3.64 final and 1krwhp

2.93 is to damm long with a g260 ;) esp for one with less than 500rwhp.

I'd baseline with a 3.73 welded and drop down or up depending on take off. Drag slicks and heavy duty driveshaft shop axels will be smart items for durability/efficiency

Line lock/brake boost will also do wonders for 60ft if the car is setup to HOOKUP.

I would suggest the 2.93 since your boosted. The lower gear will load the motor quicker and spool the turbo faster. Your tire height also affects the gear ratio. What size tire are you running?

Been trying to practice the ebrake thing some and it seems to work pretty good! I'm hitting the track again thurs night so hopefully it'll work out better! I'm still running the 4'10! At poorboyz, i've never done it before so who knows, it'll pry take me a little longer than 45. Maybe if i did it again i could do it a little quicker!

I can drop a diff and put another one up in 45 minutes.

Try using the ebrake or healtoe at the line to load up the suspension a bit and help build some boost and leaving in 2nd.

    Do it.

I daily drove a stock e30 with welded diff for a couple weeks, it gets some taking use to but is extremely fun and handles actually good. quite durable also; A local friend has a ground control sponsored Right drive e30 v8 truck drifting with a welded diff-

    Much cheaper to run though

The best option hands down for drag racing would be welding the diff (SPOOL). GO STRAIGHT; 100% locked.

Welded is cheapest and also the lightest.

If op is running a m50tu turbo than turning the car to street drive/park is not a problem; he can use his right foot.
