I would LOVE to find a good solution for a 15x10 e30 fitment (meaning et0) that will clear both stock and big brakes. I already have 2 sets of high dollar wheels (15x10.5 Kodiaks, 15x10 Keizers) that don't require spacers to fit the car, running 275 Hoosiers. But I want to fit something else for local event use. I could live with 15x9 for local stuff, but I prefer to use the same size wheel as I normally would because it does change the handling.

For my purposes, I will never put on the 1"+ spacers that are required to run the Miata fitments in this size wheel--there's already enough stress on everything to with the monster rubber, and I have cracked the Keizers before.

This is on a '90 325i, built for DSP, placed in the trophies at SCCA nationals this year.

To be fair, there is already a 15x8 ET 20 wheel from Konig (a few actually, that's what is on my Miata now) that are $109-119 each from Good-win-racing.com.

If I were you I'd be looking to do a 15x9.

personally, I hate Konig.....lol....and is not 57.1 which I want.

I have known about JB for ever....its a great company..making really good wheels .

And it just seems like its hard to really get 9's to fit on a 225/50 w/o a lot of fender work , if at all...I dont want to run a 225/45....too short.

Not in the least, I have a Miata in addition to the e30. I'm familiar with the Miata forums and how many more of those guys are into tracking vs the e30 guys, that doesn't mean there are no track e30's out there.

Again, I'd beg you to read the entire thread. Wheels that are AVAILABLE year round, vs being sold 2x per year (like the 6ULs).

My Miata is a barely street legal track rat. Which likely sometime time next year will go full on NASA TT and I'll quit insuring/tagging it.

Again, I'm working with them on this wheel so that people can call up Jongbloed or Phil's Tire Service and order them any day of the year. Unlike the 6ULs that typically have a spring and fall run.

The fact that I don't care about the E36 market is moot. I'm specifically working with Jongbloed so there will be a quality, lightweight 15x9 wheel available YEAR ROUND. Versus the twice a year sales Emilio does.

Before insulting others it may be worth checking to make sure you've clearly stated the things you are accusing others of not knowing.

Never once did you mention that you intended these to be for a Miata. Your signature puts you as the chief sales officer for a company who specializes in BMW parts, and you posted on an e30 specific forum, I do apologize for assuming that you would be talking about an e30 when posting in such a place
Just because you mention another common miata wheel means we are supposed to jump directly to the understanding that you don't give a damn about the e30 folks with this wheel design and if that is true what was your reasoning for asking on this forum anyways?

Just because you are ignorant to a certain product market doesn't mean it doesn't exist. STX has been the biggest class at the solo nationals for the past couple years, even bigger than spec-miata (I mean STS) with BMW's being the most common car in the class even over the FRS/BRZ twins. that to me says that if their is a market specifically for an STS legal 7.5 6UL there is a market for a STX legal 15x9 5x120, especially with e36 328i's wishing for smaller tire diameters to lower their overall gearing.

Lastly how did you judge I was unwilling or uncapable to put forth the deposit for all 15 sets of wheels? please point me to the group buy thread with final pricing and weights with contact information about how to pay, then see if the money comes forward rather than making brash assumptions about things. at $209 per wheel we're talking just over $12,500 for the shipment not an overly huge amount of money especially in SCCA land where people spend more than that on blueprinting a 23 year old ES Miata. By commit I knew exactly what you meant, as a business owner I'd go broke pretty quick throwing down deposits for every great sounding idea without actual proof, show me photos of the prototype wheel, give me exact dimensions/weights etc and then ask me for a deposit. If you need a deposit before doing the work I'm not interested.

I apologize for my excitement at an e30 specific 15x9, thats something I've been looking for and it seemed that someone else was finally looking to do the same thing.

- et35 will interfere with the front strut of an e30, why not at least bump this back to a et30 or there abouts? that gives you 5 less mm of needed spacer which would make studs more viable (since it seems reccomended to stay 15mm or below for track use spacers unless you go to bolt on style)

I'm doing this for Miata guys since the 6ULs are never in stock, read the original post where I mention that 6ULs are never in stock.

- Since the wheel is in the design phase right now it would be very easy to design the mounting pad of the wheel for both 4 and 5 lug vehicles, this not only opens up the fitment market for 5 lug swapped e30's but there are e36 guys that would love to try out the 245 wide 15" tire as discussed over on BF.C and this would open up the market to them as well.

I've never heard of E36 guys wanting a 15" wheel, and I'm not going to bother researching that market.

Yes there are 15x8 options, but none with the quality of JongBloed especially at the price point these will be sold at.

Please re-read the thread, I said if 15 would commit to buy I could check with Ryan and see if they would be interested. Never did I say for certain they would be. BTW Commit means pay a deposit, not just say "yeah I'm in"

I'd be extremely interested! an e30 fitment lightweight track 15x9 4x100 would be very useful especially if the talk about a 245 width sticky summer tire comes to fruition. I'd rather have one set of great quality $3000 wheels as opposed to two sets of meh level $1500 wheels.

There are plenty of quality, track worthy wheels that don't cost $400+ each.
