I have no idea what that requires. I guess I need to find an NHRA rulebook and check it out.

Hey Matt, I mentioned this before but what about cage work for drag race cars looking to stay Tech legal for given 1/4 mile times?

I am interested in a product of that sort.

We should have bolt in 4-point "race" bars for e30s soon. With braces in the main hoop, and harness bars. I'm looking for more people who might be interested so we can spread the development costs over more orders and reduce the cost for everyone.

Let me know if any of you guys are interested!

    Thanks,
    Matt

Gotta take the good with the bad on a PUBLIC forum!

Say what you mean, mean what you say!

No hard feelings. Matt seems to be a great guy and I have seen this cage and it is first quality work. If your in Hotlanta area, use them. If your in Central NC, give me a yell and I can hook you up with the guy that built mine. He'll do whatever you want too.

Whatever you do, get out on the track with NASA and Spec E30, it's a blast!

Read the first post again, please. This cage is not in my car, and I didn't design it or build it. I am just trying to get the word out that this is a service that TRM provides.

There are a few interesting ideas in your cage. The gussets are nice. And I really do like the seat mount.

Adding info is fine, but coming in here and claiming that your cage IS the best and ours is NOT... might not be the way to do it.

Remember that this cage was built for a specific car, for a specific customer. We can do NASCAR bars, we can do the seat mount to the cage, we can do whatever kind of harness bar you want...

I love your seat mount. Exactly what I am going to do when the time comes!

Darn, why do people always acuse me of trying to start a pissing match???

Your the guy that posted a self-promoting thread here in a public forum and started with the whole "mine's best" deal and now when someone who doesn't even have a service to sell trys to add info, you get pissy. If you wanna be in sales, you'll need thicker skin.

Man, I know Bill and his car and it IS a great cage, but come on, as many have stated, it's not the best!

I showed these pictures not to "show off" but to offer YOU (and others) a chance to SEE another few ideas. Guess your too self consumed to be interested in "other ideas".

Good luck and sorry if it seemed like I was pissing on your sales post in a public forum.

    Time to move on.

I think you should have started your own thread to show off in. I'm not going to get in a pissing match over this with you.

Anyone who's interested in a cage and wants to know the specific advantages of ours, PM me.

And here's a shot of REALLY good dash bar placement, look closely, it's where that extra (gusset?) bar goes up and it's way in there. Also, pretty nice foot well protection.

Wait a second, are you trying to tell me that three bars pressed outward and supported with lower one pressed (tightly) right up against the lower rail of the car itself is going to be weaker then the simple, rather light appearing X you have in your pictures?

Dude, I ain't no rocket scientist, but I ain't stupid either and I'm not sure I can buy that! It kinda appears to be a simple case of spin by someone promoting themself as the "Best cage builder".

I'm looking pretty hard at both pictures and if my A*# is on the line, I'll take "three Nascar bars to win, Alex" over the X you offer.

    Other opinions????

Thanks for the kind comments! This cage wasn't cheap but both my wife and I sleep better at night because of it.

A few more pics of it before I painted it. Seat frame is part of cage, not attached to the car. Like the builder said, it's going wherevere the cage goes! I like that!
