Dam. I should have got there earlier. I wanted to meet a ton of you'all out-of-staters, but we just got busy before we all left town. I hope most of you CA guys get up next year, I'll get there on time, and with my car even.

Yeah, I remember you, Luke - You were easy to pick out when I was walking around since I recognised the pics of your stereo install, and you had it turned up loud enough for a demo there was no mistaking you, so that's why I knew who you were when I introduced myself that day.

And I know Joe F, and I've talked to Ed a few times - I'd recognise say Josh A & Matt, but I got there too late that day to find them. I know a bunch of the WA guys, so that wasn't a deal either. But there were a 1/2 dozen or so WA guys I wanted to meet who I wouldn't recognise. Again, nametags with usernames would solve this.

I know nametags are teh ghey, but heck - we all know each other & it would really save time if we could just walk up to someone & think "Oh, yeah, this is ____"- and if there was something in particular about their car, you could save tons of time. You could sense that was the overall feel, because unless you were lucky & found the person next to their car, you just weren't going to get a chance to talk to them.

I dig the E30 Picnic & all, and I might be in a minority - but it always seems so quiet like we are all a bunch of strangers. Heck, if we were smart we just get some nametags - we're all friends, we just don't recognise each other.

I'll bring a roll of tags next year - or at least talk to Lance about this, since the Picnic is really his show. It's a no-brainer to hand them out when you get your attendance paperwork.

For the record, Linus has been my lifelong nickname. My real name is Ben but there are like 5 Bens here, and so far I've met 2 real Linus's in my life. If you yell "Linus", I'll turn around - so it works for me.

I'll make sure to bring this up to Lance & make a post about it next Spring.

I am from the east coast and would have no idea who you are unless you are towing the e30 trailer along then I would be like " DING DING DING ..... Hey it's Mr. 325 !!! and that trailer is way cool, I want one now " and then of course I know the name well on here too

The name tags are a good idea. I still don't understand why 99% of people on forums don't sign a post with there real name. Maybe I'm too old.

Hey, maybe we all ought to then at least for the E30
picnic, it would be fun to be able to put a face to a name, at least for some of those who I wouldn't just visually recognise like you, Luke, Josh A, & Ed.

More I think about it, I really think it would be fun, we should make a plan to organize this for next year - you already know everyone, you just don't recognise them.

I'm in, - we should bring a roll of nametag stickers for next year - whadda think, Joe?

Anybody else want to play like me & Joe?
