Going on a vacay to SoCal..what can I do in 1 week?

In all realness robotin has good ideas but I would hit up the hollywood bowl as well and cruise mulholland drive. In my opinion, hollywood blvd during the day is trash, pure tourist trap with overpriced shops.

I would hit up venice skatepark and that whole strip and hit the beach there and relax, hit up on the waterfront cafe to have a beer and watch the sunset.. Super touristy but I live right by there and I am there every weekend playing paddle tennis, bar hopping or just relaxing. It has great energy, and don't buy any rap CDs off the guys on the boardwalk, that's just embarrassing.

There are endless things to do in LA....

i forgot about mulholland. go to super car sunday and then hit the canyons after.

and to add to robotin...
hollywood bowl, greek theater, lacma, tar pits, moca, stroll thru downtown on a saturday, walk olvera street then chinatown, bar hop from echo park all the way thru hollywood, endless amounts of stuff to do.

i'd suggest this too but its the same day as the car b q.
you cant go wrong with a day in santa monica/venice, and a drive through mulholland drive, or a hard canyon run through sketchy ass glendora mountain road. and of course, eat as much as possible at as many different places as possible. go yelp crazy. just make sure you hit up some beaches. cali girls are gods little angels.


everything else he said is true though, lacma, moca, olvera, all that. the getty too. not as interesting as lacma but INSANE view.

Haha, ya, I actually play puddle tennis at those courts and I hear those guys all day long. I don't really get too close to lmu but I am all around LA.

Thanks for all the tips guys. Went to Venice beach and boardwalk yesterday. That alone convinced my friend to move out here. Beautiful weather and view.

I think well check out some museums and try to bar hop at night.
