    Job Opening - Web Marketing Manager @ Apex Race Parts

    Apex Race Parts (APEX) located in the San Francisco East Bay is a fast growing company that produces high performance automotive wheels and wheel accessories, in addition to distributing a range of other performance products.     The Web Marketing Manager will work under the Marketing Director to support our site and continually improve our customer reach via the web. You’ll take full ownership and responsibility of our online presence and website’s functionality, it’s marketing campaigns, and their overall effectiveness. Customers come to us for our knowledge and expertise, so you’ll work to help our site deliver them an experience similar to speaking with one of our sales staff directly. Your past experience supporting an ecommerce business and other relevant marketing experience will allow you to connect customers with our original content, and optimize that experience for conversions. No training will be required on analytics, SEO, PPC, and other relevant tools/techniques, so you’ll hit the ground running by implementing our marketing campaigns, and supporting the necessary changes and maintenance of our site other systems need. Your past experience working with outside contractors and developers will allow you to cost effectively and efficiently support complex site changes and improvements.

    Responsibilities & Tasks
    • Manage the e-commerce site’s front end marketing related elements and functionality under direction of the Marketing Director
    • Manage onsite promotions, banners, pricing, and content
    • Create and optimize landing pages, product pages, and other content pages
    • Assist with production and management of wireframes for new development
    • Liaison for outsourced Web Developers and Designers, etc.
    • Source and manage contractors for repetitive tasks/projects
    • Systemize and document work to allow for outsourcing
    • Monitor and analyze APEX site and social media platform performance and review tracking metrics with Marketing Director to provide solutions that increase search engine ranking and conversions.
    • Researches and evaluates new traffic trends and identifies new optimization opportunities.
    • Create, manage and optimize all PPC campaigns
    • Optimize site and blog for SEO and user functionality
    • Manage online forum marketing campaigns
    • Help enter and maintain all product data in NetSuite ERP system
    • Work with sales and marketing staff to improve product data and increase conversion rates
    • Manage production and optimization of email campaigns
    • Proof site for errors, fix reported errors, and modify content accordingly
    • Analyze existing processes and develop efficiencies for the ecommerce department where needed.
    • Propose functional improvements for upcoming year development.
    • Be one of the business leads with sign-off responsibility or provide support where required for implementation and testing of new functionality and build releases

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience, is required.
    • 2 years experience with ecommerce
    • 5 years relevant marketing experience
    • A firm understanding of the Internet, forums, website development, and online marketing
    • A fundamental understanding of search engine crawling, indexing and ranking algorithms as well as SEO best practices
    • Proven results in developing and optimizing campaigns to meet business objectives
    • Directly experience with Analytics, SEO, PPC, retargeting, blogs, and email campaigns
    • Basic HTML experience required
    • Experience with Photoshop/Illustrator, Dreamweaver or similar
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Attention to detail, sharp eye for proof reading
    • Exceptional written, verbal, and listening skills

    Preferred Skills
    • Experience with NetSuite ERP
    • Passionate automotive and/or Motorsport enthusiast
    • Web design & graphics design

    This is a full time position that may require occasional weekends for shows and events.
