One of my wheels was bent so they couldn't fill and drill them due to them being untrue.

I got mine done with Wheelflip, it took them like an extra week or so. I told them to keep the centerbore the same size and they did, but some of the redrilling went through the thin wall of metal in between.

So if you find a company to do it right the first time and who can weld properly, have center caps, and a few bucks in your pocket there are no down sides. Gotcha. As for resale, I beg to differ.

They're almost never done correctly the first time and you end up having to get it redone, the heat put into it while welding the holes shut significantly weakens the wheel, it's ugly unless you spend a ton to have it smoothed up, it's expensive, and it lowers the resale of the wheels.

What downsides do you speak of?

I haven't, but I'm not looking to get it done anymore. After more and more experience with filled wheels I've decided that the downsides outweigh the upsides.

E30spdfrk, have you tried new year polishing and chrome? They are in Santa ana off the 55. I've used them to repair wheels but their fill and drill is weird. They welded a plate to the back of my wheels then machined it off mostly.

The last time I tried to get some wheels filled and drilled from LAX they told me they weren't doing that anymore because too many people complained. This was probably close to a year ago, has anyone had them do it since?

Can't get a hold of Einstein or wheel flip. Anyone else got a reliable shop they can refer?
