But seriously, it is a non-issue. towing a RWD car on a dolly is 100% fine. Just put the car in neutral. I have done it many times, no issues. My E30 was towed for 3000 miles like that.

    just go do it!

what the heck could possibly happen that wouldn't happen if you are coasting up to a red light in neutral or something?
You're supposed to disconnect the drive-shaft so the transmission doesn't turn, but that's about it.

That's not a safe solution. Probably not possibly with an E34 either.

You're supposed to disconnect the driveshaft to do it properly, but yeah, car hauler ftw.

Yep, we will U-haul if we have to. Just seeing if someone has something we can use.

Dude, grow a set, and tow the dang car on a dolly. Sheesh, I did it from MD to CO w/ my E30, and many times from Denver to Loveland, ALL RWD cars.

    ;)

disclaimer: that came out sounding a bit harsh, but I just be kidding... but srs, dolly works fine in my experience.

Yea, and since we all know E30s have perfect side to side rear alignments, do you really want the dolly to be moving all over the place while towing? A flatbed's like $10 more.

put the ford in the local paper, put it on autotrader, put it on ebay, and find another place to park it in public w/ a for sale sign!
