How much weight can these racks hold? Would +200lbs be ok?

The weight ratings are usually based on the integrity of the roof of the vehicle and not just the racks themselves. I.E. the integrity of the roof might be compromised before the racks fail. I would say that 200 lbs would be a bit on the steep side for an e30's rain gutter mounts.

I have no idea but they look pretty strong, and that's coming from a mechanical engineer! ;)

No idea what he assumed. He told me he was sure it would work. I didn't know what kind of Civic he had so who am I to know.

I also am surprised these aren't gone. You can't find a comparable setup for cheaper.

yea especially considering we live in co... i still have maintenance stuff to do to the e30 other wise i would of picked them up before.

Some dude with a civic wanted the rack, so I agreed to pack it all up into my E30 and bring it with me to work, only for him to discover they won't fit his civic (after I told him that will most likely be the case) so now all the bits are in my E30 travelling through Denver with me every day. I am sure someone wants to pick this up.
