Gotta put some brute strength into it. Leverage is the only way to get that if you cant get it. Cheater bars and the ghetto double rigged combo wrench method.
If you were closer to pdx I'd come lend you a hand.Leave a comment:

Put a large screwdriver in one of the forward joints of the driveshaft. That will keep it from spinning when you remove the rear nuts.Leave a comment:

Wish I wasn't sick, out a car and working or I'd come down and help you out.Leave a comment:

Very inexperienced...need help removing and installing a diff.
I've had nothing but trouble trying to get my diff out for days now and It's really starting to piss me off. At this point one of the locknuts holding the driveshaft to the flange refuses to budge. I've blasted that thing with more wd-40 and PB blaster then you can imagine yet still no avail. Aside from this problem I could just use some overall general assistance with the task since this is the first major work I've done to a car ever. Anyone who wants to come help me will be provided pizza and beer or whatever will get someone out to my house to help me with this pain in my ass. Getting rides everywhere is getting very old at this point.
Any help is very much appreciated!!Tags: None
