You should have him pile on any spares he finds, too! Corner trims, foglights, brackets... ;)

I disagree. My supplier in Germany has had no problems finding me multiple sets of E9, E12, E21 and E28 euro bumpers, finding E30 bumpers will be child's play.

With that said, my order for bumpers has been placed. I'll update this thread when they show up.

And then, I'll have to throw some money towards properly advertising here. ;)

If you could find rear seats from an E39 touring with the integrated child boosters in grey I'd be interested :)

Woah, noone mentioned refurbished bumpers. Yeah I would deff pay a litttle more for that.

$5-600 is about the going rate for a nice set though for sure.

I am pretty sure Ecs has the rear bumpers alone priced at like $800 or some ridiculous number. Waayy too much.

Id pay $300 for a non perfect set that needs paint. I would like to paint mine anyways, so Chrome would not be worth it.

Me too. I have a couple threads out there for various makes and models of cars. I'm putting together a list of things that my guy might find.

I look forward to where this path my take me. I've always helped other people with their auto-related businesses, never my own. So this is all pretty exciting and so far has been working out really good.

Thats a good way to look at it, i mean you should def be able to get more than 500 a set out of them, i would say, like i said before, anywhere below 1200 and you'd have yourself a bunch of people who im sure would love a pair, myself including.

good luck and keep us posted. I'm def interested

If I can't sell them for less than $500, then it's not worth it. And my cost for E30 stuff is about the same as E21 parts. So, if I can get the sale price/cost equation to match E21 bumpers, then it'll be a success.

Oh wow, seems like you are doing it right. Well i have had my eye on the ECS tuning kits for a while for the front and back. Do you think you will be able to come in under ECS tuning's ~$1200 asking price for a full set?

I know people are low balling you and such with joke offers, but seriously, you're talking about paying parts people in wrecker yards to be careful with this stuff, then shipping heavy old metal parts across the pond from europe, and then refurbing them with possibly new chrome and missing parts. So you've got your time you've got to take into consideration too.

All in all, you've got cost is picking, shipping, refinishing and then shipping again to whomever would by these. I'm def interested but do you seriously think that you will turn a profit on these while coming under ECS's already stated asking price for around 1200 for the set?

If so, i'd love to buy a set if the plastic and chrome is indeed in good shape.

Also, what kind of turn around time are you looking at for selling these if you are in the gathering interest stage now?

    Thanks

Paying someone to get parts from wreckers in Europe and then ship them over, is an expensive a patience-testing ordeal. So, without getting some feedback, it could be a waste of money and people's time.

So, ebox86, I plan on putting an order in for 3 sets. Once they get here, I'll be going through them, reassembling them, replacing any missing hardware, cleaning them and polishing them as needed. And if the chrome is shot, I'll then prep them for paint by smoothing them and primering them. Then and only then, they will be for sale.
