Edit: I had one on my old E28 and never had any problems. OTOH, 1) I didn't have it long, 2) I rarely drove it.

My M5 is now eligible (it wasn't two years ago), so I am probably going to get one for it when the registration comes up for renewal.

I met that owner up in Saratoga springs ny last yr at a gas station coming back from BMW Vintage. He was saying how he gets pulled over all the time running the old ny plates (which ur allowed to do if the car is old enough). I was thinking if running my old plates I saved from my 1991 Infiniti g20 but the last thing I need is to get pulled over more lol
