    Hey hay!

I moved back to Madison, WI about two months ago..

I'm doing well. Just scored a nearby job. Putting up the beast in storage here in a week or two to keep it out of the salt months.. Kinda bummed - but also relieved - as I was worrying about it quite a bit..

    Hope you are well.

We'll have to get together as the weather is warming up. I've got a lot of sorting and cleaning up to do and once I get a good idea of what I got, I'll stick it all in my parents somewhat empty garage(instead of packed tightly into my old 325) and have an E30 garage sale

Also, if you're interested in the newer front valance to use the plastic bumpers, I've got that on my parts car which I'm sure I could sell. Also a rear bumper that I cut to fit the 84-87 models. I never got around to trimming the plastic bumper trim, but I'm sure I could do that and get it ready for paint if you were interested in ditching the diving boards.

I'd be fine with that but it would be a lot of work to swap everything out if you werent interested in the Bilsteins too. I cant remember if H&R springs sag over time, but they were either a a bit lower than others, or my spring pads were shot

You need a rebuilt stroker engine with low mileage on it the last 6 years? Only problem was the PO used an ETA head with the i cam/springs and, when it bent a valve in 03 I was in FL, it was rebuilt by a specialist for more money than I ever care to spend again. It had a custom chip for the ETA computer that boosts redline to 6k though, so thats not excessive in its current form. I had a Megasquirt ECU in there for performance and emission reasons and I had set the redline for a more fun 6500,which just brushed the oil flow limit of the ETA head.

Do you know other E30 guys in the area that might need some stuff? If I'm gonna part the car then I'd like local guys to pick it over so I don't have to deal too much with shipping.

I know of a vert top on a car in the junkyard near me that has a hole in the top but if you needed specific parts from it or the rear window or vert panels, I'm sure they could be picked up for cheap next time I'm there. I actually took the rear seat foam when I was there last since the previous owner ripped all the leather off and just had a generic seat cover over it. I'm planning on making my own custom M3 rear seat out of it once I fab up some foam and framing, etc.

As far as suspension, I have Bilstein sports from 03 or 04 with only about 3-4yrs of light use throughout the years and H&R race springs...but they're on my car I need to part out and I think I might have thrown out the original springs a few months ago and I can't have it dragging on the ground :-/

Lol, what kind of parts are you looking for?

I've accumulated all sorts of odds and ends over the years. ECUs, switches, couple taillights, radios, interior parts, and basically anything not too annoying to remove on my 84 325e that I need to sell for parts, strip and get rid of, or sell as a junker.

I'm in the process of recovering a few 3-spoke Sport steering wheels I've accumulated and just recently invested in leather to them in. Maybe an mtech 1 soon as well. I should probably get rid of a set of wheels too but I will probably be refinishing the "style 10" BMW wheels I've had for years before getting rid of them.

Basically I have parts all over the place but I have too much non-car related stuff to deal with at the moment so I haven't sat down to clear them out through craigslist, ebay, etc.

Nice. Always good to have local E30 buddies. Let me know if you ever need any parts. I've started to accumulate too many, lol.
