The Oil Level Sensor rendered above is the OEM unit on the E30 that mounts top down and will trigger the overhead check panel. It is something Striker01 and I would like to still have functioning after...

I was able to model out the Oil Level Sensor and M20 Dipstick end (waiting for M50 set) and drop them into the assembly with an approximate volume of 5.5 quarts of fluid.

I couldn't visualize the problem because I don't have the parts yet. So hopefully, these images help explain why the run is so short for the oil pick up.

I just ordered the Moroso 24840 but it won't get delivered for a few days. Do you happen to remember the OD of the tube that comes with it? Also, what was the total height of the oil pick up?

So it would look something like this, with the bottom flush. The dipstick tube seals on the 0.75 diameter and sits on the inner tube.

My seats are currently shifted outward. If I remember correctly (with my E92 seats), I put down a laser and lined up the bolt on the steering column and center of the seats as best I could.
